Describe the differences between the two software keyloggers (Powered vs. Advanced).
The powered keylogger is driver based, so it is virtually undetectable by system security software and the like. The advanced keylogger however just runs in the background and can be detected even if your intention is for the keylogging to go on in secret.
KeyProwler
KeyProwler has the capability to take screenshots when certain keywords are typed in by users on the computers. This makes it seem that KeyProwler is a more "Parental Control" oriented keylogger designed to let parents monitor inappropriate websites without blocking them entirely.

Ethical Behavior?
Ethics - that branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such actions. downloading songs from YouTube is clearly not ethical unless the song is one you created or have permission to download from YouTube. Although this is the case, I would still definitely use this service because, as of today, music is extremely overpriced and I don't personally have the thousands of dollars to drop on every song that I may want to listen to. Services like Spotify help mediate this, but as a teenager, I don't really have the prerogative to sign up for these services.

Viruses and Trojans
We used HTTP RAT TROJAN and JPS Virus Maker 3.0 to examine the effects of different kinds of malware on computers. Through the Trojan, we were able to gain backdoor access to the computer and modify it in real time. Through the virus maker we were able to shut down many processes and services on the infected computer.
Extracting Administrator Passwords Using L0phtCrack
What are the alternatives to crack administrator passwords?
There are quick, common, and string passwords audits. Quick checks only for dictionary words, common checks for dictionary words and common variations, and strong initiates a quick password audit followed by a common password audit and finally a brute force attack.
Why is the Brute Force attack used in the L0phtCrack tool?
Brute force attacks are used because the are guaranteed to work at some point no matter how long it takes.

Hiding Files Using the Stealth Files Tool
Evaluate other alternative parameters for hiding files.
You can potentially destroy the source file so it cannot be found on the computer, and you can also back up the original carrier file if you are worried about preserving the contents of the file.

Network Route Trace Using Path Analyzer Pro
What is the standard deviation measurement, and why is it important?
It is the variation in the times it takes to reach the server; it helps to find the optimal data transport rate.
If your trace fails on the first or second hop, what could be the problem?
You might not be able to get through your own local firewall.
Depending on your TCP tracing options, why can you not get beyond my local network?
You may be being blocked by a firewall.

Scanning with Nmap and Zenmap
What is the switch that will make the utility run in passive mode?
-p
Does null scanning work against a Microsoft Windows machine?
no
Compare Nmap to Zenmap.
Nmap is by far more powerful than Zenmap because it does not have the restrictions placed on it that Zenmap does by the GUI. The GUI does however make Zenmap far easier to use for simple commands because it does not involve all the work of memorizing tags and switches and the like. Zenmap basically just translates user input into Nmap commands. Zenmap will probably be easier to use at first, but Nmap by itself will probably be far more flexible.
